Application for Membership 2008

Who we are: The HCCA (Heavy Construction Contractors Association) is regional, independent chapter of the National Utility Contractors' Association (NUCA).  Founded in 1957, HCCA has grown from representing only water/sewer contractors to a vital organization representing a cross-section of contractors, suppliers, professionals, and municipal members who share in interest in water, sewer, storm, and road construction, site engineering and development, construction materials, insurance, services, and supplies.

HCCA's Public Action: HCCA serves as your liaison at the federal, state, and local levels.  Through our close affiliation with NUCA, our partnership in the Virginia Utility and Heavy Construction Contractors Council (VUHCC), and our membership in Virginians for Better Transportation, HCCA leads a united front working to increase funding for all forms of infrastructure construction.

Safety and Technical Education: Through regular general membership meetings, technical seminars, continuing safety education and monthly newsletters, HCCA keeps members informed of:

Legislative and Regulatory Initiatives:

  • Safety regulations
    Construction industry information
    Technological developments
New material and services used by contractors
    Legal requirements affecting employer/employee relations

Your involvement: Join this association of active, concerned business professionals who share your interest in the site development/construction industry.  Add your voice to the initiatives coming from any one of six HCCA committees: Legislative, Membership, Public Relations, Safety, Municipal Relations, and Golf.  Socially, our monthly meetings include seminars, dinner meetings, summer outings, holiday parties and more to cultivate strong personal and business bonds among all HCCA members.
